Since NBYH was founded in 2007, we have been focused on our history museum and “unearthing” the Indian Canal which was constructed by Native American Indian’s over 1000 years ago. Going forward we are transitioning away from our physical location to concentrate on being virtual with three (3) new online sites. This site and NaplesIndianCanal.org are dedicated to Naples history and NaplesPanorama.org is about the Naples pier today.

The Naples Backyard History Mission is to partner with our community colleagues to ensure our unique cultural history is accessible as we promote, preserve, and provide educational experiences to the residents and visitors of Naples and Collier County.

Our Initiative is to lead the way in defining sustainable solutions that promote the unique identity, character, and history of Naples. Our heart remains set on showcasing the many cultural treasures and unique heritage areas throughout the City and County that give this community such extraordinary meaning.
